Thanks for Checking out Blue Mountain Ranch. We hope to see you at Camp this Summer!
For the last 75 years Blue Mountain Ranch has been enriching the lives of children from across the country and the world. We are a third generation own and operated camp. With an emphasis on participation over competition, BMR truly provides a fun filled warm environment for its campers. We are a coeducational camp that caters to children 7-15 year old. Our campers gain independence and confidence by choosing their own daily activity schedule each week. Some of our most popular activities include: horseback riding, hiking, rock climbing and rappelling, swimming, high and low ropes course, archery, music and more. Our campers are encouraged to try as many activities as possible. We believe that after this last year that children need summer camp more then ever! They need to have a place to play outdoors while making memories and friendships that last a lifetime. BMR is that fun safe place for kids to be kids while disconnecting from technology and reconnecting with childhood in the great Colorado outdoors!
What Parents Say About
Blue Mountain Ranch
My kids absolutely love this camp! Blue Mountain Ranch is something they look forward to every year. My daughter (14, 3rd year camper) and son (12, 3rd year camper) both rave that every year they try new skills/courses/adventures and meet superb new friends from all over the country and abroad--they learn SO much. A testament to BMR's quality and uniqueness is the dedication and heartfelt devotion from the staff--this translates into the true joy for the campers (and staff!) who return year after year and generation after generation. People overwhelmingly love and care for BMR, and this is most readily seen by the leadership at Blue Mountain Ranch (the Graf family) who since 1946 have wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to making sure kids are kids and have fun in a loving, diverse, and wondrous environment. Their motto rings true: "A friend is worth a mountain made of gold."

Florissant, CO
We are located 35 miles west of Colorado Springs, just outside the small town of Florissant, CO. Our 86 acer camp grounds are located in a valley and surrounded by Pike National Forest, a perfect location for summer camp. We also have two out post properties that we use for overnights and day trips. We use the national forest for hiking and horseback riding. Our cabins have twin sized bunk beds for campers and all come with heating and a fireplace; we don't need air conditioning! Bathrooms are located inside the cabins, so there is no need to venture outside in the middle of the night. Our bathroom include showers, sinks and toilets. We have a private pond for fishing and canoeing, a gym for rainy days, two tennis courts, one of which is newly resurfaced, our own horses and barn, a small natural rock wall for climbing and rappelling and a challenge course built in the trees. We have two camp chefs, one who studied at Cordon Bleu Paris and the other worked in Jackson Hole, WY in the restaurant industry. They provide meals cooked from scratch daily, campers love taco Tuesday, and make sure no child leaves meal time hungry. Being a small camp allows up to provide the individual attention each child deserves.
