Nova 42 has been a hidden gem in Pasadena. CA since 2012. We have limited our advertising and marketing to allow for a select group of students focused on Speech and Debate training, or as we like to say, Life Skills. We have a limited amount of spots available during the school year in our afternoon classes, but we open up or admissions for our unique summer camps. All of our staff have been background checked and approved with the California Department of Justice. We have a diverse student population as well as a diverse staff. We are all about making learning fun and exciting as well as bringing the real world into our applied project based approach. Our best advertising is our loyal and happy families, some have been with us from thee very beginning. Although we will still be online for the summer we have been a leader in online training since the beginning of the pandemic. With cases rising in school age children and the nature of speaking in front of people, we will stay online until we feel it is safe to return. We look forward to speaking (and debating) with you about our top quality camps!
What Parents Say About Nova 42
Nova 42 is a special place. My daughter has attended debate classes there for several years, but she has learned much more than how to win a debate. Nova 42 teaches kids how to think critically -- both about the world and their own actions. This skill is not only instrumentally valuable, but foundational to being an informed citizen-leader, which is what Nova 42 seeks to create. The secret sauce here is the instructors. Mike, Ted, Ebru, and the rest of the team could not be more passionate, interesting, and dedicated to their students. They are also a lot of fun. Most importantly, they always put ethics and teamwork ahead of simply winning. - B.K
