Thanks for checking out the Brain and Body Lab's Virtual Camp Fair Booth!
Join us in the Brain and Body lab at UCLA for a science-filled, fun, and educational experience! Here at the Brain and Body Lab, we study the development of emotions and brain-body interactions in children. By participating in our completely VIRTUAL Mind, Brain, Body Study, your child can learn more about Psychology and research in social science! Your child will get to play computer games, answer some questions, and even donate biological samples (like spit)! By participating, you can help us build new and needed knowledge on child development, get feedback on your child's behavior and cognition, and even earn money and science activity kits for your time!
This virtual study is for children between the ages of 6-9 years and adolescents between ages 13-16 years, but we welcome all to connect with us and discover more about what we do in the Brain and Body Lab!

What is the Brain and Body Lab?
At the Brain and Body Lab (BABLab), we are interested in how early experiences influence interactions between the brain and body, contributing to mental and physical health. We hope to use this information to improve the wellbeing of children, adolescents, and adults across the world. In other words, in the BABLab, we aim to do good science that makes a difference to people’s lives, today and tomorrow! The BABLab is directed by Dr. Bridget Callaghan, Assistant Professor of Psychology at UCLA. Here are some research topics we are currently working on...
Mind, Brain, Body Study
The Mind, Brain, Body study looks at how early caregiving experiences influence emotional, cognitive, and brain development, as well as physical health and wellness. The study also explores how the bacteria that live inside us (the microbiome) are connected to the development of our brains and bodies.
